The weather is warming up and you are getting ready to hit the roads on your next road trip! Make sure you get your car checked out before you embark on that adventure. We recommend the following: Inspect all fluid levels. If your next oil service is coming up, schedule an appointment before you leave Inspect your battery to see if it needs replacing Changing a dirty air filter will help with your gas mileage, change it if you haven’t done so recently Look for any leaks Make sure you have tread on those tires, as well as the proper inflation Your gas cap should not be loose or damaged to prevent gas from spilling or evaporating Keep a case of water in your car in case of emergencies Be sure to tag us in your pictures on Facebook and Instagram (@MancinellisAutoRepair)when you reach your destination and have a safe trip

Spring is the perfect time to say thank you to your vehicle for making through the winter. The cold temperatures, snow, ice, salt and potholes all take quite a toll on your car. Be sure to schedule a spring checkup to make sure nothing is out of place. You want to make sure the following components get attention. Tire Pressure: Cold weather can change your tire pressure. Be sure that all tires, including your spare, are properly inflated and balanced. Windshield Wipers: They have been abused during the winter, check to see that there aren’t any cracks or visible wear. Batteries and Spark Plugs: They have been working over time during the cold winter. Test and replace old or weak batteries, spark plugs and spark plug wires. It’s important to know your market before you try to sell your car. As we are headed into winter, it might not be the time to sell the convertible. Trucks and other 4WD are hot sellers as soon as the first snow hits Denver. Be sure to check the going rate for your vehicle from private sellers. Dealers tend to have different prices. Private sellers are used to negotiating their prices, so you might want to aim slightly higher than your bottom line. Giving your car “Curb Appeal” is crucial to get the fair market value. Before you write that advertisement, make sure your car looks clean and attractive. If you can’t get it detailed, be sure to vacuum out any pet hair and crumbs. Clean all of the windows and mirrors.
